Sunita Williams' Early Return NASA's

NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Barry "Butch" Wilmore have been aboard the International Space Station (ISS) since June 2024, following an extended mission due to technical issues with their Boeing Starliner spacecraft. Originally planned as a short-duration mission, their stay was prolonged after propulsion problems and propellant leaks rendered the Starliner unsafe for their return, leading to its uncrewed descent back to Earth in September 2024.

To facilitate their return, NASA has scheduled the launch of the SpaceX Crew-10 mission for March 12, 2025. This mission will utilize a previously flown Crew Dragon capsule, Endeavor, to expedite the process. Upon the arrival of Crew-10 at the ISS, Williams and Wilmore, along with their colleagues Nick Hague and Aleksandr Gorbunov, are expected to return to Earth around March 19, 2025.
